Small jars of Galle

400,00

Two beautiful little jars by Emile Galle, a famous glassmaker from Nancy, France. They are vases made of blown glass, (cameo glass) from the Art Nouveau period. The cameo glass technique requires several layers of glass that are then etched with acid to create the embossed design.

My father was very fond of Galle and much of his collection was purchased when he was in Lyon from 1922 to 1937.

Dimensions 10 cm.
