Applique Embroidery

Framed applique embroidery on silk. Rare piece with painted faces and the newspaper Proia -it means Morning Gazette- in the boy's hands. Newspapers named Proia were found in Constantinople, Chios, Athens, Komotini, Cyprus from 1881 onwards.
